5 Best DIY Face Masks for Sensitive Skin
#1 DIY Face Mask for Sensitive Skin – Banana, Milk and Oat Flour
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon oat flour
- a small piece of banana
This is one of the best DIY face masks for sensitive skin that has a lot to offer to any skin type. It is slightly exfoliating and very nourishing. It makes the skin soft and supple and gives it a healthy appearance.
Milk and oat flour will get you rid of the dull looking skin and refresh your complexion. Banana provides the skin with many nutrients and antioxidants and makes it soft, plump, well-hydrated and protected.
Mash the banana piece well, try to get rid of as many lumps as you can. Mix the milk and oat flour to get a smooth paste. Then add the mashed banana and mix everything well together.
Apply the mask to a clean face. Leave it on for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse the mask off and apply your face cream while your skin is still slightly damp, to lock in the moisture.
#2 DIY Face Mask for Sensitive Skin – Aloe, Cucumber and Chamomile
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon cucumber puree
- 2 drops chamomile essential oil
One of the most hydrating face masks, it will soothe dehydrated skin, restore and replenish it. If lack of water is the main cause of your skin’s sensitivity, this is the right mask for you.
Each ingredient is both calming and nourishing to the skin. Together, they work as a soothing miracle product, repair the skin, protect it against free radicals and maintain it youthful and glowing.
All you have to do is mix all the ingredients well together. (You can blend a whole cucumber, take a teaspoon for this treatment and freeze the rest in an ice tray.)
Apply the mixture to your face using a cotton ball. Don’t let it dry out completely – as soon as it starts to dry, rinse it off and apply a face cream right away.
#3 DIY Face Mask for Sensitive Skin – Matcha, Honey and Sweet Almond Oil
If you need something to detoxify your skin, provide deep nourishment and soothe any redness or itching skin, try out this mask. It is high in antioxidants and has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
Matcha tea purifies and detoxifies the skin. Honey hydrates the skin, cleanses it and gives it a bright, dewy glow. Sweet almond oil is one of the best natural moisturizers, capable to treat even very sensitive skin, dermatitis or eczema.
First mix the honey and sweet almond oil. Add just enough matcha powder to get the right consistency – not too thick and not too runny. Mix everything well until you get a smooth paste.
It would be best to first exfoliate your skin with some gentle face scrub and then apply this mask. That way, the mask can sink deeper into your skin. Leave the mask on your face for about 20 minutes, then wash off.

All of the ingredients for this face mask are soothing and nourishing, all moisturize and protect the skin, keep it soft and smooth and prevent premature aging signs. This face mask is not only great for sensitive skin, but for all skin types.
Yogurt contains lactic acid, which exfoliates the skin, rejuvenates and regenerates it. Honey is a humectant that keeps the skin moisturized and healthy. Cocoa improves the microcirculation, softens the skin and improves its elasticity.
Just mix all the ingredients well together. When you get a smooth paste, apply to a clean face. Leave it on for 15 – 20 minutes. Wash the mask off using lukewarm water and apply a moisturizer. Use this mask at least once a week.
